ConditionMod
ConditionsMod lets server owners and mod authors build custom event behavior from YAML files, without writing Java code.
What it does
ConditionsMod creates events from YAML configuration. Each event follows a condition-action workflow: it detects that something has happened in the game, checks whether the requirements are met, and runs its result actions only when the conditions pass. Events are declared in a root section and can use list formats, text conditions such as a command or chat match, and compound conditions joined with or. Conditional action branches let an event choose between different actions with execute.
The mod takes its inspiration from ConditionalEvents and targets a leaner, faster and more adaptable setup for modern servers. ConditionsMod keeps the familiar event, condition and action layout, and its ConditionalEvents-style configuration lets server owners migrate many existing setups without rewriting them. Conditions support common operators.
The mod is published for Fabric and Forge, across 1.20.1, 1.20.4 and 1.21.1. Players need it on their client, while the server can add it for extra features and runs fine without it. Its license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Some setups need coding for advanced events, though the basic configuration does not.
Key features
YAML-defined events
Events are written in .yml files, so custom server behavior needs no separate mod or Java code.
Native event types
Built-in event types cover common triggers, and conditions can combine text matches with compound or checks.
Conditional branches
An execute section lets one event run different actions depending on which conditions are met.
Camera and HUD events
Camera events change the player's perspective, and HUD events draw timed on-screen text with adjustable position and animation.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
How it compares
ConditionsMod is the YAML-based event system described here, and it is not open source. 5q12's YAML API is a Fabric mod for 1.19.4 – 1.21 under the MIT License, and either side can run it alone or both. YAML Config is Apache License 2.0 open source for NeoForge and Fabric across 1.21 – 26.3, a different tool for configuration files.
