Colored Slots

by MasUN0

Colored Slots lets players tint inventory slots so related items stand out when a chest or inventory is sorted by hand.

What it does

Colored Slots changes the color of individual inventory slots. Each slot can be given a tint, which makes grouping items easier and gives the screen a more distinct look. The mod is a client-side Fabric mod, so only the player who installs it needs it, and servers run without it. Its only required dependency is YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), which provides the settings screen. The code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, placing it in the public domain, and it is open source with public source code and an issue tracker.

  1. Colored inventory slots

Inventory slots can be tinted in several colors, so storage can be arranged by category.

  2. Cycle colors with the mouse

Right-clicking or left-clicking a slot steps forward or backward through the available colors.

  3. Reset to default

Shift with a right or left click returns a slot to its default color.
