CobbleMorph
by dodolezozo
CobbleMorph lets players transform into Cobblemon Pokémon using simple commands, and its changes are cosmetic only.
What it does
Players who want a different look can morph into a Cobblemon Pokémon they like. The transformation is set with simple commands. Changes cover the visible model, a first-person hand model and an item that transforms the player's Pokémon team, along with other small extras. The transformation is purely cosmetic, and the mod does not change hitboxes or add gameplay advantages.
CobbleMorph requires Cobblemon and Fabric API, both of which must be installed alongside it. Commands need operator permissions by default, so server owners decide who may morph. The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.1, and the environment is client required with an optional server side. The code is closed: the mod is licensed as All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
The mod is lightweight and is compatible with datapacks and other mods that modify existing Pokémon models or add new ones. Custom content such as Fakemon and Mega Evolutions is not yet implemented through the mod, and some aspects, such as certain cosmetic item settings, do not always work properly.
Key features
Pokémon morphing
A player can take the appearance of a Cobblemon Pokémon through a command and return to normal with another one.
First-person hand model
The first-person view of the hand changes to match the morphed form, so the transformation shows during play.
Item transforms the team
An item can transform the Pokémon on a player's team, adding a cosmetic change beyond the morph itself.
Other extras
A set of smaller visual features rounds out the mod, and some cosmetic options may not work properly yet.

How it compares
PolyPokémon is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 under the MIT License, and it is not open source. Its environment works on either side, and neither needs it. Cobblemon: Synchro Machine is built for Fabric and NeoForge on 1.21.1, is licensed as All rights reserved, and is not open source. It has to run on both the client and the server. CobblePlayzone is a Fabric mod for 1.21.1 under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Its client and server setup is the same as Cobblemon: Synchro Machine.
