Cobblemon Environment Interactions
by heb75sushi
Cobblemon Environment Interactions lets a Cobblemon Pokemon serve as a field companion that mines blocks and performs utility actions when commanded, for players who ride or direct one nearby.
What it does
A single owned Pokemon standing nearby can be commanded through companion commands, and only exactly one owned Pokemon is accepted at a time. Left-clicking with a riding Pokemon breaks blocks, with its Attack and Special Attack setting mining power and its Speed shortening the cooldown between breaks. Right-click utilities draw on the Pokemon's type, and some act on the block aimed at while the rest affect items lying near the target.
Higher stats widen the area a utility covers, increase the number of processed items and improve rolls and special results. Held items count as well: a Pokemon holding an item that matches its type receives a +50 power boost on mining utilities, and a dual-type Pokemon uses whichever held item matches one of its types. Steel prospecting covers a fixed 3x3 footprint and scales with depth instead of radius. Pokemon interactions stay disabled by default after joining a world, so clicking is safe until a player turns them on.
The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is distributed under the Apache License 2.0 but is not open source. It is published for Minecraft 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge and needs Cobblemon at the matching release. On Fabric it also needs a current Fabric Loader and Fabric API, while on NeoForge a current NeoForge release is enough. Mod Menu and Cloth Config API are optional on Fabric.

How it compares
Cobblemon Buffs is client and server and open source under the MIT License, with files for 1.21.1 on Fabric and NeoForge. Cobblemon Alphas is server required with client optional, also MIT licensed and for 1.21.1 on the same two loaders. Environment Interactions is client and server under the Apache License 2.0 and not open source, so it differs from both in license and in what the Pokemon do.
