Clouser settings locker

by Mortimer-Kerman

Clouser settings locker lets a player lock chosen game settings so they cannot be changed by accident, and it is built for Fabric.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Clouser settings locker keeps selected settings fixed to protect a Clouser Minecraft map from being broken by an accidental change. The locked options are written to a file named settingsLock.txt in the main Minecraft folder, and each line can be edited to enable or disable an option. Changes to the file take effect at runtime, so the game does not need a restart: reopening the menu applies the modifications. Files cover 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 1.21-0.1.3 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. It is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it.

Key features

  1. Precise setting locks

Individual settings can be locked on their own, so the rest of the options stay free to change.

  2. Editable settingsLock file

A settingsLock.txt file in the main Minecraft folder lists each option, and editing a line enables or disables it.

  3. Applies without restart

Changes to the lock file load while the game runs, so reopening the menu is enough to apply them.
