Client Updater
Client Updater lets a Forge server push mod updates to players in-game, with changelogs shown before the game starts.
What it does
When a player launches the game, Client Updater compares the mods in their instance with the ones the designated server expects and shows any missing or outdated files on a page before the game opens. Players can then read the changelog for each change and choose to update. The update page is meant to be unobtrusive and to resemble the original launcher style. A web page also shows the history of update logs, so earlier changes can be checked after they are applied.
The server side is set up by unzipping server.zip into the server root directory. Server owners run the included Python component, which needs a Python runtime with the Flask and Flask-Cors libraries installed, and the configuration file lets them decide which updates and logs are published. Client and server both need the mod, so every player on a server that runs it installs it too. The code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and public links to the source, issue tracker and wiki are available. Files are published for Forge only, across 11 release versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.4, with 0.1.5 for 1.21.4 as the latest file.

Use cases
Keeping a modpack in sync
Server owners who maintain a modpack can publish new versions so players receive matching mod files at launch.
Reducing support requests
Players who see the update page before joining are less likely to arrive with a mismatched set of mods.
Who it’s for: Server owners running Forge modpacks who want to deliver mod updates to players, and players on those servers who want to see changes before they install them.
