CalcMod

by js802025

Players who want arithmetic in chat can use CalcMod, which adds a calculator command and a set of game-aware shortcuts to the chat window.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient or server, optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.12.2 – 26.3

What it does

The mod runs expressions typed into chat and returns the result. Its simple calculator reads a set of built-in variables, listed by the /calc variables command. Output lines in green can be clicked to copy them to the clipboard. Commands cover item sorter counts for a given rate, the materials needed for a recipe, the maximum craftable amount from current inventory, the items per hour of a farm, random numbers, comparator fill levels, gold barter averages and block distances.

Either side can run it without the other: a client alone, a server alone, or both together all work, and neither needs the mod. Files exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 52 game versions, 1.12.2 – 26.3, and a Paper build is also published. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Expression calculator

The /calc command evaluates arithmetic with a set of variables that can be listed in chat.

  2. Item sorter counts

Given an item rate per hour, a sorter command reports how many item sorters a farm needs, with separate input for hopper speed sorters.

  3. Recipe material lists

The craft command returns every item needed for a given quantity of a recipe, and an optional depth argument expands nested crafting.

  4. Craftable amount check

The craftinv command reports the most of an item the player can craft from current inventory, including items inside shulker boxes.

  5. Farm and barter math

Commands convert farm output into items per hour and calculate average gold ingots needed for bartering in either direction.

Use cases

Planning a farm

A player enters a farm's item count and run time to see its hourly yield before building it.

Crafting ahead

Before gathering materials, a player lists the full recipe inputs for a large batch of items.

Who it’s for: Players who plan builds, farms and crafting chains in chat, and server owners who want the same tools available to every player on their server.

Questions

Does a player need CalcMod on a server to use it?

No. The mod works on a client without the server having it, and it can also be installed on the server as well.

Which loaders does CalcMod support?

Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt have files, and a Paper build is available for server platforms.

Why does the craft command show fewer recipes in some versions?

From Minecraft 1.21.3 on, the craft command uses only recipes present in the player's recipe book in single player mode.

In the catalog

CalcMod is one of 36,990 Utility mods on ModsFinder, and one of 25,772 Utility mods for Fabric. 8,071 mods support Minecraft 26.3.
