Bugs and Grubs lets players collect bugs from grass, ferns and bushes with a bug net, then pestle them into food and potions.

What it does

Three kinds of bug can be collected: Witchetty Grub, Forest Scorpion and the Bug Net itself is used to catch them from grass, ferns and dead bushes. A net is craftable from string and sticks, has low durability, and takes enchantments that speed up catching and raise how many bugs a single catch yields.

Bugs are processed with a Blaze Pestle on a mortar. Pestling a few different items produces Bug Mush, which is eaten from a bowl and gives lesser immunity to poison, slowness and weakness for 15 seconds, and Bug Brew, made with a glass bottle from nine bugs, which gives greater immunity against those harmful effects. Lesser Immunity and other effects vary in duration with how many of each bug type went into the recipe.

Bugs and Grubs is published for Forge 1.19.2 only, with release versions for 1.18.2 and 1.19.2. The server and every player need the mod installed. The code is open source under the MIT License.
