Brutal changes how Piglin Brutes appear in the world, letting Ziglin Brutes spawn naturally in small groups near fortresses and bastions.

What it does

Brutal adds a small set of quirks around the Piglin Brute. Brutes spawn naturally in small groups in fortresses and bastions, and Hoglins, Piglin Brutes and Piglins can turn into zombified versions when they die. Zombies have a 10% chance to leave a skeleton behind. Both the server and every player need the mod, which is published for Forge and NeoForge across 1.20 – 1.21.1 and released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

    The mod adds Ziglin Brutes, also called Zombified Piglin Brutes, as an original creature.

  2. Group spawns

    Piglin Brutes appear in small groups in fortresses and bastions instead of alone.

  3. Zombified drops

    On death, each Hoglin, Piglin Brute and Piglin has a one-in-ten chance of leaving behind a zombified copy of itself.
