Bones Update adds skeleton-based mobs, illager structures and a set of necromancy items to Minecraft, with skeletons that can be revived as minions.
What it does
Players explore a world where skeletons have come back to life and defend their pairs. The mod adds new mobs, including the Knight skeleton, which favors sword abilities and strikes from a distance, and the Haunter skeleton, which teams up with knights. Illagers appear in new structures, and a pillager has been given the power to unleash its fallen peers. The Necromancer is a foe that revives the dead and resists attacks that try to annoy it.
Skeletons break out of graves in the mod's content, and a needed tool is required to beat them and collect their loot. Items support the system: the Necromancer Scepter grants the Necromancer's powers, a Haunter Spear is crafted with a special ingredient, and Skeleton Soul and Soul Orb can be used to craft the scepter and revive minions. Bones Update is published for Forge and NeoForge and needs both client and server to run, with files for 1.19.4 – 26.1.2 across 19 release versions. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

The Haunter Spear requires the Haunter's special ingredient, and the Haunter Blade is obtained from a cleric after defeating the Haunter skeleton.
Illager structures
New illager structures are generated in the world, where pillagers and other illagers wait for players to find them.
