Bluedude Dragons
by dan6335
Bluedude Dragons lets players tame dragons hatched from eggs found in nests, drawing on the How to Train Dragon universe.
What it does
Dragon eggs appear in nests that generate naturally in several biomes, including Cherry Groves. To hatch an egg, set a warm block such as fire beneath it, close to the egg trigger. Each hatch produces a unique dragon. The author aims to bring dragons from the franchise, including books, movies, shows and games, into Minecraft.
Taming starts by right-clicking a dragon while holding food, and the progress bar fills as more food is given. Once the bar is full, the dragon sits and waits to be claimed, which is done with Shift and right-click. A confirmation message appears once the dragon is tamed. Armor and weapons in the hotbar can also start the taming process. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it requires BlueLib. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1, in the beta channel, with 1.3.0-alpha as the latest file from 2026-01-04. The code is not open source and is released as All rights reserved.
