Blooming Biosphere
by hhumanoid
Blooming Biosphere reworks the overworld biomes with new vegetation, rock details and seven added biomes, while keeping close to the vanilla look.
What it does
The data pack changes every overworld biome. Trees gain several variants per biome, and fallen logs, boulders, coarse dirt and stone formations appear across the terrain. Each biome receives its own unique flowers, and the sky, fog, grass and foliage colors are adjusted so that neighboring biomes read as distinct places.
Swamps and mangrove swamps now generate more reliably near the ocean. Cliffs that were made of dirt are rebuilt with stone lining. Green frogs spawn in rainforests, pale gardens appear in frozen regions, mycelium patches show up underground, and packed mud is placed in jungles. Only vanilla blocks are used, so vanilla clients can join a server running the pack without installing anything.
The mod is a datapack for servers and works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds for 1.20 – 26.1.2 and the latest file for 26.1.2. Blooming Seasons requires it. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0, and the project is not open source.
