What it does

Biome Fest is a world generation mod that adds fourteen biomes to new and existing worlds. The biomes use blocks already in the base game, so no new blocks or items are introduced. Players find them while exploring, and the mod has no crafting or progression path of its own.

The author describes the mod as an attempt to add interesting, unique biomes that fit the look of vanilla Minecraft. A later version is planned with custom blocks, items and more imaginative biomes, but those additions are not part of this release. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, with a Forge build for 1.20.1 and a NeoForge build for 1.21.4, and it is client-side only, so servers can run it without installing it. Biome Fest is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is not open source.

What the author says

Biome fest is a biome mod that aims to add interesting and unique biomes that fit into minecraft while not adding any new blocks. I plan on making another version with custom blocks and items for more imaginary biomes.
