MCS Nether Mobs

by MCSilver64

MCS Nether Mobs adds Nether mobs to a world, and its Blaze Knight and Classic Silverfish spawns can be toggled with game rules.

What it does

The mod adds more content for the Nether: new hostile mobs such as the Blaze Knight and the Classic Silverfish, which can be turned on or off through spawning rules. A server owner can change these rules with commands, check whether a rule is enabled, and run functions for listing rules, giving items or summoning mobs.

Players who want stronger fights in the Nether can use the Blaze Knight, which has a melee attack, a ranged attack and a shield that absorbs incoming damage. The mod needs a resource pack to display its content correctly, so the resource pack is required alongside it. Only the server needs the mod to run its rules, and players may add it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and for the Data pack option on PaperMC and PurpurMC servers, across seven game versions, 1.21 – 1.21.8. The mod is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Blaze Knight mob

The Blaze Knight has a melee attack, a ranged attack that sets targets on fire, and a shield that blocks incoming damage.

  2. Classic Silverfish spawning

The Classic Silverfish can be enabled or disabled as a spawning option, so a world can keep the vanilla silverfish instead.

  3. Commands for game rules

Game rules for the mod can be changed with commands, and their enabled or disabled status can be checked at any time.

  4. Give and summon functions

Functions give items and summon the mod's mobs, which helps when testing a world or building an arena.
