Arte
by ShardMC
Arte is an optimization tool for server resource packs, splitting large packs into small pieces so players receive them in smaller bites.
What it does
Arte sends a server's resource packs to players in small pieces rather than as one large file. It is aimed at servers that distribute big packs, and it is installed on the server side to do this. Fabric API is a required dependency for the Fabric build, and the mod can also be set up on Paper, Spigot, Bukkit and Purpur through a plugin version.
Setup follows a fixed sequence: start the server once, open Arte's config file, and set the server's public address so clients can reach it. The config also expects a port, 1864 by default, which has to be opened on the host. The resource pack goes into the arte/resourcepack folder, and running the reload command applies the change. The folder location differs with the loader: on Fabric and Quilt it sits in the server's main folder, while on Spigot it lives under plugins/arte/.
The mod is built for Fabric and Quilt across 9 release versions, 1.20.3 – 1.21.4, with a current beta file for 1.21.4. Arte is not open source; it is covered by a custom license, and public links to its source code, issue tracker and wiki are available.
Key features
Resource pack splitting
Large server resource packs are delivered to players in smaller pieces, which spares slow connections from one heavy transfer.
Public address and port config
The config file holds the server's public address and the port Arte listens on, so clients can reach the pack server.
Reload command
After a new pack is placed in the resourcepack folder, a reload command applies it without restarting the server.
Plugin distribution
A plugin build is offered through Modrinth, Hangar, Polymart, Spigot and GitHub Releases for non-Fabric servers.
Compatibility

Use cases
Large pack servers
Servers that ask players to install big resource packs can use Arte so each transfer is split into smaller parts.
Who it’s for: Server owners who distribute large resource packs and want to reduce the size of each transfer. Players do not need to install anything extra for the server-side part.
