Ars Theurgia
by cominixo
Ars Theurgia, a Fabric magic mod for 1.16.3 – 1.16.5, adds ancient magic built on rituals, clay tablet scrolls and many branching paths.
What it does
Players scavenge ancient ruins in deserts and at the bottom of the sea for treasure used in rituals, and raw mud blocks can be opened with a trowel to find more. Clay tablets record the knowledge found in these places, and a player can decipher a tablet or reconstruct an ancient grimoire to uncover hidden magic. Many new items tie into ancient cultures, and each one needs the proper ritual application to work.
The rituals follow their own logic and progression, with several steps and block structures for each one. Many creatures can be summoned to help in battle, based on real mythology, alongside mythological tools. Hidden structures tell the stories of ancient travelers, which an average person can use to help ceremonies. Diving too deep into black magic risks losing the path and never returning, though a final sacrifice can bring a player back.
Ars Theurgia requires Fabric API and GeckoLib. The mod is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for 1.16.3 – 1.16.5, with 1.0.6 for 1.16.5 as the latest.
