Armor Refurbished

by phosphr

Armor Refurbished reworks armor so that each material set grants its own bonus when a player wears the full set, and adds an Emerald Armor set with a separate way to obtain it.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Each armor tier, from leather through netherite, gains a set bonus that applies only while every piece of that material is worn. The bonuses differ by tier, which gives players a reason to choose among the armor types instead of always taking the strongest one. A new Emerald Armor set sits between iron and diamond in defense and durability.

The mod adds a Mr Moneybags villager profession that trades emeralds for rare ores and minerals, and the Emerald Armor set is obtained by selling pieces to that villager up to its maximum level. The mod runs on Forge for 1.20.1 only, and both the server and every player need it, since it changes combat and villager trades. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Its one dependency list is empty, so no other mod is required.

Key features

  1. Set bonuses for each tier

Leather, chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, netherite and emerald armor each add an effect when the full set is worn.

  2. Emerald Armor set

A new armor set that scores between iron and diamond in both defense and durability.

  3. Mr Moneybags profession

A new villager profession that gives emeralds for a range of rare ores and minerals.

  4. Advancements

Two new advancements: one for completing the Emerald Armor set, and one for netherite armor that starts to corrode in the cold.

Use cases

Choosing armor by effect

Players who want a particular bonus can pick a material for its set effect rather than for raw protection alone.

Emerald progression

Players can turn surplus ores into emeralds with the Mr Moneybags villager and work toward the Emerald Armor set.

Who it’s for: Players who want armor choices to matter in survival play, and server owners who want armor sets with effects and an emerald-based progression path.

What the author says

!!The mod file is named "Minecraft Refurbished", thats just because when I was origonally working on it this mod was meant to be a whole lot bigger than it is and I can't really change the file name anymore!! I lost the files for this mod when I got my new pc, so there isn't gonna be updates in the forseeable future.
