AnvilRepair lets an anvil fix damaged tools when a player clicks it with an iron block, as set up by the mod's datapack.

What it does

Repair happens through a datapack recipe rather than a new block or screen. Holding an iron block and using it on an anvil restores durability to the damaged item, so the anvil gains a use it does not have in vanilla. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a datapack for servers, across game versions 1.13 – 26.2.

The server must run the datapack or mod for the repair to work, while players may still join without installing it. The license is All rights reserved, and the project is not open source, though public links exist for its source code.

  1. Iron block repair

    Clicking an anvil with an iron block repairs the damaged item held in the anvil, which adds a new use for iron.
