by bsasealteam6

Anvil Fix Reborn removes the level limit on combining items at an anvil, so repairs and enchantment merges stay possible past the vanilla cap of 40.

What it does

Anvil Fix Reborn is a fork of OnyxStudio's Anvil Fix, updated for later game versions. It removes the Too Expensive mechanic, so an anvil keeps combining items and repairing them without the vanilla level ceiling. A config option removes the cumulative XP cost of repairs. The server is the side that needs the mod, while a client may leave it out, and players see the anvil screen without the Too Expensive warning when it is installed. Files are published for Fabric across 10 release versions, 1.19 – 1.20.4, under the MIT License, and the mod is open source. It requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API.

Key features

  1. No level cap on combining

Items can be combined at an anvil past the vanilla limit of 40 levels, with no Too Expensive message blocking the result.

  2. Repeated repairs

An item can be repaired an unlimited number of times, and enchantments can be combined again on the same piece of gear.

  3. Optional XP cost removal

A config option removes the cumulative XP cost of repairing, so repairs cost only the items used.
