Another Dimension-Invasion

The infection is optional and starts in a first phase where only parasites spawn naturally and weaker infected mobs stay rare. Mid-level infected begin to appear as the phase advances, and most other infections slowly increase until the world is overrun, even when the player starts with a single infection. Spread happens only at night, after a player summons an infection with a Dimensional Gate, without taking the world with it.

Mobs gain 25% more stats, and entities with 50% stat buffs appear as the threat grows. When an entity with less than 20 HP dies, it calls up a soulermite, and an entity between 20 and 50 HP gets a one-in-five chance of rising again at half health. Players can collect infection souls, refine them and take back control of the infected, which gives the mod a way to push back against the spread.

The mod is aimed at players who want a harder challenge in vanilla Minecraft, including veterans seeking a new kind of run. Installation is needed on the client and the server, and the latest Forge file, 1.3.2-A.R, targets only 1.20.1 and was published on 2025-01-09. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
