With AnkiNBT, players can open an item, entity or villager in a client-side editor and change its NBT data without touching command text.
What it does
AnkiNBT is a client-side NBT editor for Minecraft Java Edition. Its Simple Mode covers common operations, while Advanced Mode exposes the complete NBT tree for editing, so both novice and experienced users can work in it. Editing covers the main-hand item, items under the cursor in inventory, spawn eggs, live entities and villager trades, and changes to entities and villagers are saved to the server and read back.
The mod supports Fabric and NeoForge and covers Minecraft 1.21 – 26.2 in 16 release versions, with the latest Fabric and NeoForge files at 2.0.0 for 26.2, published 2026-08-20. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with public links to its source code and wiki. It runs only on the client, so servers and other players do not need it.
