Animal Garden - Common Raccoon
Common Raccoon, from Animal Garden, adds a tameable raccoon mob that spawns in forests, swamps and taiga biomes and steals crops and food from players' farms.
What it does
The raccoon is a masked, omnivorous, nocturnal animal, so it is most active at night and sleeps during the day. Players can tame it and feed it food items, and a tamed raccoon can be made to rest in place rather than wander. Wild raccoons protect themselves when attacked and run away from a threat instead of fighting their owners. Between spells of activity they can also unearth items buried in the soil and climb trees.
Raccoons also raid farms. They harvest grown crops such as carrots, potatoes and wheat, and steal items dropped nearby, including dirt, rotten flesh, seeds, sweet berries and nuggets. A raccoon that has a full health bar eats a stolen item to heal itself, otherwise it carries the item to a nearby composter, stays still for five seconds while composting, and resets the crop block to its default state so it can regrow. Spawn settings, the item list and the item tags are editable through JSON files, biome tags and biome modifier folders, and some spawn values such as weight and minimum or maximum groups can be changed in the config file.
Animal Garden - Common Raccoon requires Aquarius Libs, and the mod needs that library installed next to it. It is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. Files target Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 15 release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.3, under All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source.
