Ambulance

by Redynine

With Ambulance, players craft healing items for the first time in a session, using five plants that the mod adds to the game.

What it does

Ambulance adds medical items that restore health in different ways. Bandages take time to apply but restore some health at low cost. Candies act instantly with an extremely short-lasting effect. Pills restore health immediately, and after 30 seconds a pill removes the effects a player applied, such as regeneration. A stronger pill removes only negative effects. Bars restore a large amount of hunger and cannot be eaten twice in a row. Injections heal only allies hit with a syringe, and a patch restores some health instantly. A first-aid kit, also called a medic's kit, restores a large amount of health and can be used three times.

The items are divided into groups. Five new plants can be used to make medicines, and each plant gives its medicine a unique effect. The mod is useful in survival, mini-games and custom maps, where restoring health during a battle is difficult. It can be used anywhere, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Builds are published for Forge and NeoForge across 14 release versions, 1.14.4 – 1.21.7, under All rights reserved; the code is not open source.

Use cases

Survival and mini-games

Players in survival worlds and mini-games use the healing items to recover health between fights, where natural regeneration is slow.

Custom maps

Map makers can place the items and plants to shape how players recover during an adventure.

Who it’s for: Players of survival worlds, mini-games and custom maps who want more ways to recover health during combat. Server owners running those modes install it on the server and on every player's client.
