Ambience Mini
Ambience Mini lets a music pack pick tracks from a player's location, biome, dimension, combat state, weather, time and status effects.
What it does
Music selection in a pack can depend on many conditions at once: where the player stands, the biome and dimension, whether bosses or a warden are near, the time of day, rain, snow or thunder, and effects such as poison, sleeping, fishing or riding a mount. The mod also reads world information like difficulty and biome ids, and can tell whether a village, ranch or nearby structure is present by counting the entities around the player.
Cave detection looks at the lighting of the blocks around the player rather than only elevation, which the author describes as more precise than what other music mods usually use. Players can define named areas in the client with key bindings and menus, while server-side flags set by operators hold text values that the music choice can read. A web-based editor helps build and test a music pack. The mod is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the Forge and NeoForge files cover 1.18.2 – 1.21.1.
