AlwaysAuth
by GamerDuck123
AlwaysAuth lets a Minecraft server stay in online mode and fall back to a local authentication system when Mojang's authentication servers cannot be reached.
What it does
Each login attempt goes to Mojang first. If Mojang answers, the request returns to the server unchanged. If Mojang cannot be reached, AlwaysAuth switches to its local fallback system to check the user. The server keeps its online mode enabled throughout, so the offline-mode workarounds that disable verification are not used. Failover is immediate, and the mod does not wait for periodic checks before it acts, so even short outages are handled.
AlwaysAuth works by inserting a local authentication server between the Minecraft server and Mojang's official authentication servers. It runs on Spigot, Paper, BungeeCord, Velocity, Fabric and NeoForge, and a configuration file controls how the fallback behaves. Because the fallback trades some security for availability, a server owner should decide whether that compromise suits the server before installing it. Files are published for 1.8.8 – 26.2, and the latest Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt builds target 26.2.
Key features
Online mode stays enabled
The server never switches to offline mode, so verification stays in place during Mojang outages.
Immediate failover
A failed Mojang request triggers the local fallback at once instead of waiting for a periodic check.
Local authentication fallback
A local system verifies players when Mojang's servers cannot be reached, for extended downtime as well as brief outages.
Configurable behavior
A configuration file lets the server owner adjust how the fallback system operates.
