Alice-Magic

by aomkoyo

Alice-Magic is a Fabric management tool for server owners that checks which mods players have installed before they join.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20 – 26.2

What it does

A server running Alice-Magic can send its modlist to connecting clients and compare the mods a player reports against a list of required mods. A player who joins without a required mod receives three in-game warnings, and a player whose client carries a mod on the banned list is kicked, with a message telling them to remove the offending mod. The checks look only at the mods present on the player's device at join time, and the plugin does not inspect activity after that.

The plugin targets servers that need players to run a particular client setup, and it also covers cheat clients such as Meteor Client, Wurst Client and Baritone. Vanilla Bedrock players need to install the mod to reach a server that requires it. The mod is distributed for Fabric only, across 13 release versions 1.20 – 26.2, and the latest file is 1.1.6+mc26.2 for 26.2, dated 2026-06-21. Installation is client-side only, so the server side is handled by the plugin and clients carry the Alice-Magic mod.

Key features

  1. Modlist transmission

The server sends its modlist to connecting clients, so the check runs against the list the server expects.

  2. Missing mod warnings

Players who join without a required mod receive three in-game warnings before any further action.

  3. Cheat client detection

Known cheat-related mods, including Meteor Client, Wurst Client and Baritone, are flagged on join and the player is kicked.

  4. Hotkey shortcuts

Hotkeys open the mod check interface and trigger server-related actions without typing commands.
