AkatzumaPick
by zzZ227
With AkatzumaPick, players press the middle mouse button on a block to pick it from their inventory or a connected storage network.
What it does
The mod lets a player select a block with the default middle mouse button. If a matching item cannot be found in the inventory, the mod searches the connected storage and replaces the held item with the one it retrieves. The integration with Tom's Simple Storage is the main use case described by the author, so the block pick draws from that storage system.
The mod only works once a high-end wireless terminal is bound and carried in the player's backpack. In single-player, the terminal must be opened once after each save file is loaded before the feature responds. The mod is client and server, so both sides carry it, and it is published for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1. It is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and source code is public.
Key features
Middle-click block pick
The default middle mouse button selects the block under the crosshair and picks a matching item for the held slot.
Storage network search
When the inventory lacks the item, the mod looks through the connected storage and retrieves a stack to replace the held item.
Wireless terminal binding
The feature depends on a bound high-end wireless terminal kept in the player's backpack.
Single-player terminal setup
In single-player worlds the terminal must be opened once after loading a save before the pick works.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.

Use cases
Building with stored blocks
A player building a large structure can pick blocks from remote storage without opening each chest in turn.
Who it’s for: Players who run Tom's Simple Storage and want block picking to reach into that network, on Forge or NeoForge servers and in single-player worlds.
