Aggro Fix
by Blzinite
Aggro Fix changes which entity mobs choose to attack, so the one that dealt the most damage to a mob becomes its target.
What it does
Vanilla aggro is not tied to damage dealt, so in fights with several players a mob can keep chasing whoever happens to be closest. Aggro Fix replaces that rule: the entity that has dealt the most damage to a mob is the one it targets. The mod is aimed at group fights against modded bosses, the kind of encounter found in MMORPG-style play, and the author notes it is not meant to make iron golems attack tamed pets.
The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge, and it is installed on both the client and the server. Files exist for 1.18.2, 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with 3.0.1 as the latest release on both loaders. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Damage-based targeting
Mobs switch their target to the entity that has dealt the most damage to them, rather than the nearest one.
Group fight support
The rule is designed for several players fighting one mob together, such as a modded boss.
Lightweight change
The mod changes only the aggro logic, leaving the rest of the mob behavior as it is.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.

What the author says
Obviously the purpose of this mod is not to get iron golems to kill your pets, this new aggro system will target the entity that dealt the most damage to it. It's meant for when there are multiple players fighting a modded boss or something. (Like a mmorpg)
