Adorable Hamster Pets
With Adorable Hamster Pets installed, players can tame hamsters, carry up to three of them on their shoulders and head, and throw them as projectiles.
What it does
Hamsters are tamed and fed in the world, then followed, sat, napped or put to sleep under their own personality. Breeding is procedural: the mod lists over 3,000 wild variants, and breeding can produce a very large number of distinct variants. Hamsters can also hoard snacks and sniff out nearby diamonds and creepers.
A hamster can be lured onto the player with Cheese, and up to three ride on the shoulders and head. They bounce with jumps and hold on during sprints. While mounted they give alerts for creepers and diamonds. Pressing G throws the shoulder companion as a projectile with a particle trail and impact sounds, and a default throw is enough to kill a creeper. Throwing a hamster at an oak tree sends it into the canopy, where it shakes down acorns that craft into Acorn Armor and an Acorn Hat.
