Whistlebound Horse

With Whistlebound Horse, a player can summon a tamed horse from anywhere by pressing a key, after binding it to a whistle through an in-game menu.
What it does
After a horse is tamed, the player opens a horse selection menu, by default with the J key, and picks the horse to bind to a whistle, then clicks Done. Pressing the H key by default calls the selected horse back. The horse appears near the player, or at a nearby safe spot when one can be found. If the horse has to be moved to a safe place, a warning message tells the player.
The mod is built for Fabric and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is open source under the MIT License, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker. Files target 1.21.1 – 26.2, with 15 release versions in that range, and the latest Fabric file is 1.2.1+mc26.2 for 26.2, published on 2026-10-14.
Key features
Whistle binding
A tamed horse is bound to one whistle chosen from the in-game menu, so the player can keep track of which horse is called.
Whistle call
Pressing the whistle key brings the bound horse to the player's side, without walking back to where it was left.
Safe placement
The horse is placed at a nearby safe spot when possible, and a warning message appears if it has to be moved.
Configurable keys
The menu and whistle keys default to J and H and can be changed by the player.
