What it does

The mod displays a welcome or update screen when a player joins a world. Its appearance can be changed in detail, and it runs on the client alone, so servers do not need it. Required dependencies are FancyMenu and Necronomicon API. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20 – 1.21.1, under a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

  1. Welcome screen on join

A welcome or update screen appears each time a player enters a world, with its content set by the mod.

  2. Full customization

The look of the screen can be adjusted in detail, so the layout can match a server or modpack.

  3. Update notices

An update variant of the screen can announce changes to players when a new version is installed.

Questions

Does Welcome Screen need FancyMenu?

Yes. FancyMenu and Necronomicon API are both required dependencies and must be installed alongside Welcome Screen.

Does the server need Welcome Screen installed?

No. Only the player's game needs it, and servers run without it.
