Villager Artifacts
by Lothrazar
Villager Artifacts gives villagers, illagers and wandering traders a set of crafted items and abilities, all used through the player's inventory and the world's villager systems.
What it does
Villager Artifacts adds items that change how villagers behave. A Scroll of Hubris can erase a villager's profession, including its level and trades, while work blocks nearby are left alone. A Grimoire of the Lost Merchants Guild can instantly raise a profession's level without any trades being made. Other items convert pillagers and wandering traders, corrupt villagers and traders into illagers with greater strength, or heal zombified villagers without needing potions. An Amulet can turn pillagers into town guards that fight against raids.
Some items target iron golems and villagers in other ways. An Oblivion Stone upgrades iron golems, and a Llama Key frees wandering traders' llamas from captivity and converts them to normal llamas. A bribe reduces a player's crimes in a village by raising reputation. Villagers can also be made to follow the player and hold long lures, and the mod spawns two new mobs from villager-related activity.
The mod depends on FLIB, which must be installed on both the server and the client. Villager Artifacts runs on Forge and NeoForge, is built for Minecraft 1.16.5 – 26.1.2 across seven release versions and is released under the MIT License. The source code and wiki are public.
