villager-shop-reset

by CaksCoca

Villager Trade Reset gives players a way to reroll a villager's offers, using a button in the trading screen, before any purchase is made.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved26.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

Right-clicking a villager with a valid profession opens the trading screen, where a Reset trades button appears. Pressing it, or the R key bound to the same action, rerolls the offers instantly. After a trade is completed, the button is removed for that villager for good, so the reset only works on a villager that has never traded.

The reset logic runs on the server, which keeps it usable on multiplayer servers without extra setup. A two-second cooldown between resets stops rapid repeated clicks. Success plays a sound and shows happy villager particles, so the player can see that the trades changed.

Installation needs Fabric. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files are published for Fabric for game versions 26.1 – 26.1.2, with 1.1.1 for 26.1.2 as the latest file. The code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Reset trades button

A button in the villager trading interface rerolls the offers, and the R key triggers the same action.

  2. Fair play rule

The reset is only available for a villager that has never traded, so each villager's offers cannot be cycled after a purchase.

  3. Two-second cooldown

A cooldown of two seconds between resets prevents spamming the button.

  4. Sound and particle feedback

A successful reset plays a sound and shows happy villager particles.

  5. Server-side logic

The reroll is handled on the server, so it works on multiplayer servers.
