True Window

The mod reworks how the game window is handled on the client. It sets a custom window title, applies a borderless fullscreen mode that covers the taskbar cleanly, and can maximize the window automatically when the game launches or leaves borderless mode. Each of these can be switched off in the config, and the mod is installed on the client only.

A Title Guard keeps the custom title active when other mods try to change it. Icons can be supplied as icon.png or icon.ico files placed in the game folder, and a high-quality .ico file with 256, 128, 64, 32 and 16 pixel sizes is recommended. The author advises against running it together with other borderless or window mods, because they compete for window control.

Some screen recording programs only detect a window titled Minecraft, so the mod uses techniques to let those programs find and record the game under a custom title. The author notes this matters most on 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, where many modern programs lose track of the game. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, for 41 release versions in the 1.7.10 – 26.2 range.
