Trackwork

by Endalion

With Trackwork, players can fit tank treads and wheels to vehicles built on Valkyrien Skies 2 and Create, so the vehicles can cross rough terrain.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.18.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

Trackwork is an addon that connects Valkyrien Skies 2 and Create. It adds tank treads for crossing uneven ground and wheels for ordinary driving. Players assemble their own vehicle from these parts and drive it across the world, and the mod can be used for racing or for tank battles between players.

The mod requires Create and Valkyrien Skies, and both must be installed alongside it. Create: Extra Structures requires Trackwork. Trackwork is released under the MIT License, is open source, and runs on Forge for 1.20.1, with files also listed for 1.18.2. The server and every player need the mod installed. The Ponders in Create explain how the parts are used.

Key features

  1. Tank treads

Tread parts let a built vehicle move over rough terrain that wheels alone would struggle to cross.

  2. Wheels for driving

Wheel parts attach to a vehicle frame so it can drive over flatter ground and roads.

  3. Vehicle assembly

Players build their own vehicles from the treads, wheels and Create components instead of using premade machines.

  4. Ponder guidance

Ponders explain how the parts work together, which helps newer players avoid building vehicles that fall apart.
