With The God Block installed, a player who harvests nothing at all starts producing the basic materials of a new world, from quanta to dirt.

What it does

The God Block is a block that a player places and harvests in order to begin creating existence from nothing. Breaking it yields quanta, an atomic string that acts as a universal binder and is used at first to create dirt, and later the seeds, saplings, iron and gold ingots that build toward nothingness itself. The recipes that come with the mod show the possibilities, and variations are provided for pack developers who want to change them.

The block is meant to be used together with VoidIslandControl, which manages the dimension and island settings that a world made this way depends on. Pack developers can write custom recipes and gate additional mods behind progress through the God Block, and the author recommends doing so. The mod is also useful as a worldgen block in packs that want it placed in the world.

The God Block is installed on the client and on the server, so both need the Forge or NeoForge build. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the mod is released under the MIT License. Files cover game versions 1.12.2 and 26.2, with 1.2.3 for 1.12.2 and 1.2.4 for 26.2 as the latest builds.
