Teleportation Shrines
by Flyrr
Teleportation Shrines lets players link shrines that transport them between distant places, configured through a five-slot screen of refined vanilla ores.
What it does
Once placed, a shrine opens a screen with five slots for selecting a refined ore, chosen from emerald, gold, amethyst, redstone and lapis. Two shrines that hold the same ores in the same order become linked, and a player who stands on one and sneaks for a few seconds is moved to the other. Blue particles show that the transfer went through, while red flames warn that something went wrong, such as stepping off too early and risking a splinch.
The mod is a server required mod: the server must run it, while a client may leave it out. Players who join without it can still use shrines, though they cannot place or configure them. Shrine teleportation also shows particles to nearby players, so others can see when someone new arrives. The project is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files covering 1.20.5 – 26.3 and 11 release versions. A data pack also supplies the shrine block through a loot table, so server owners can give shrines without a mod-specific command.
Teleportation Shrines requires nothing beyond its loader, and it depends on no other catalog mod. The code is not open source, and it is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 license. Source code and an issue tracker are publicly linked.
Key features
Linked shrine network
Shrines that share the same ore sequence connect to each other, letting a player travel between any two of them.
Five-slot configuration
A screen on each placed shrine sets the five refined ores that determine which shrine it links to.
Sneak-to-teleport
Standing on a linked shrine and sneaking for a few seconds starts the transfer to the paired shrine.
Visual feedback
Blue particles mark a successful teleport, and red flames warn that the transfer went wrong.

How it compares
KiCK's Wither Shrines runs on either server or client, and it needs the server side to be present. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 1.21 – 1.21.5, under All rights reserved. KawaMood's Waystones in DNT Shrines works on the server alone, with players free to skip it, and covers the same loaders for 1.21 – 26.3, also under All rights reserved. tpcommands is a server-side only utility for Fabric and Quilt, open source under the MIT License, covering 1.20.5 – 26.2.
