Teleport Doors

by JasonFight

Teleport Doors lets players link two doors so that stepping through one brings them out at the other, with pairs formed from wood type and dye color.

FabricClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.21.11

What it does

Each door is crafted with a chosen wood type, a dye and an Ender Pearl in the center slot. Doors that share the same combination of wood type and color pair with each other automatically, so a second door made with the same recipe completes the link without any command or manual setup. Different dyes create different pairs even when the wood type is the same.

The pairs are kept in a persistent registry, so links survive restarts. When one door in a pair is broken, its link is released and that combination becomes available again for a new pair. The doors otherwise behave like vanilla doors, and the mod is built on Fabric with a light footprint.

Installation requires Fabric. The mod is published only for Fabric, for Minecraft 1.21.11, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal and is open source.

Key features

  1. Automatic door pairing

Doors with the same wood type and dye color link on their own once both are placed.

  2. Dye-based teleport pairs

Dyes separate pairs made from the same wood, so one wood type can carry several independent links.

  3. Persistent link registry

Stored pairs remain in place without commands, and a broken door frees its combination for reuse.

  4. Custom door recipe

Each door is crafted from a wood type, a dye and an Ender Pearl in the center slot.

Questions

Does Teleport Doors need Fabric API?

Files are published for Fabric. Check the requirements on the mod's page before installing.

Does the server need Teleport Doors?

Yes. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Which dye is needed to pair doors?

Doors pair when they share a wood type and a dye color, so the chosen dye decides which door links to which.

Can one wood type make more than one pair?

Yes. Dye color separates pairs, so one wood type can be used for several independent links at once.
