What it does

Station Builder is a Transportation mod that places railway stations, continuous parallel rails and supporting structures in a few clicks. A right click on the construction item opens its GUI, and a continuous build runs along the rail until stopped with the V key. Tunnels, bridges, piers, catenary and ballast are placed automatically along the route, and one-way rails can be set to run in different directions.

The mod supports Create MTR rails, so stations can be built with the vanilla Create MTR track pieces as well. Shift with a right click opens the configuration screen. Station Builder provides two tools for the job, and it is decorated with the Decoration category tags it carries. Safety lines, doors and PIDS need MTR work installed to function alongside it.

Station Builder is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1, 1.20.4, 1.21.1 and 1.21.4. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source.

Key features

  1. Quick station layouts

Railway stations can be decorated and placed with only a few clicks, without laying each piece by hand.

  2. Continuous parallel rails

An item lays parallel rails in a continuous run, and pressing V stops the build at any point.

  3. Automatic route structures

Tunnels, bridges, piers, catenary and ballast are generated along the route as the rail is placed.

  4. Create MTR support

Stations can be built with vanilla Create MTR rails, so existing track pieces fit into the layout.
