On first spawn, a new world hands the player a pre-built starter house, which Starter Shelter places near the spawn point.
What it does
The house gives a fresh character a sheltered place to begin. Its interior includes a crafting table, a furnace, a bed, a chest and torches, so the player can craft, cook, sleep and light the area from the first minute. The chest holds a mix of starter items: tools, food, seeds and other resources for the first stretch of exploration. A map that shows the surrounding starter shelter is included too.
Starter Shelter is a world generation mod with a server-side only environment, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric and Quilt for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, with the latest files built for 1.20.6. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Its author is Phie.
