Sprinted

by Hasi

Sprinted lets the player run faster by spending a sprint power bar, which drains while running and refills when the player stands still or walks.

ForgeNeoForgeClient required, server optionalAll rights reserved1.14.4 – 1.21.8

What it does

A sprint power gauge sits on screen and empties as the player runs. Pressing the TAB key raises the speed while power remains. When the gauge reaches zero the boost stops, and the player must rest to recover it. Walking normally stays possible at all times, so the mod only changes how fast running feels.

Running with the boost also costs more exhaustion than ordinary sprinting, so hunger is affected during long sprints. The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge across game versions 1.14.4 – 1.21.8, with files for 1.20.1 among the latest builds. Players need the mod installed, while a server can run without it. The code is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Sprint power gauge

A power bar tracks how much sprinting remains and is shown while the player runs.

  2. Faster running

Pressing TAB increases speed while the power bar still has charge.

  3. Recovery by resting

When the bar is empty, standing still or resting restores it, so bursts of running are paced.

  4. Extra exhaustion

Sprinting with the boost uses more exhaustion than normal running, which ties the mod to the hunger system.

What the author says

There's a thing called SPRINT in Minecraft, If you'd ever sprint faster, what would that make? Let's you Sprint differently with speed? Of course it does, what else? - letting you run faster - press TAB to increase your using power, if your power reaches 0, you have to stand still, to rest. But you're still able to…
