Sodium FPS Step Fix
by AlCapone11
Sodium FPS Step Fix lets the Sodium framerate limit take any exact integer from 10 to 260 instead of multiples of ten, for players whose monitor runs at a refresh rate such as 144 Hz or 165 Hz.
What it does
Sodium's video settings only step the maximum framerate in increments of ten, so values such as 144, 165 or 240 cannot be chosen directly. This add-on patches the framerate limit slider so it accepts any whole number between 10 and 260, which lets the cap match a monitor's actual refresh rate. It also fixes a storage issue in Minecraft's own settings, where a saved limit was silently rounded down to the nearest multiple of ten. After the fix, the selected cap is kept exactly as set when the game is started again.
The add-on is unofficial and affiliated with the endorsed Sodium team, and it is a lightweight client-side add-on that needs Sodium installed. Sodium FPS Step Fix is published for Fabric and NeoForge across 9 release versions, and the code is all rights reserved, so it is not open source. Public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker.
Key features
Exact framerate values
The framerate limit slider accepts any integer between 10 and 260, not only multiples of ten.
Persistent saved limit
A chosen framerate cap is stored at its exact value and is kept after the game restarts.
Monitor-matched caps
Players can set the cap to their display's refresh rate, such as 144 or 165, instead of the nearest step.
Client-side patch
The patch changes only the client's settings screen and needs no change on the server.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players with a monitor whose refresh rate is not a multiple of ten, who want the framerate cap to match it exactly. Multiplayer servers do not need the mod.

What the author says
Unofficial add-on — not affiliated with or endorsed by the Sodium team. Sodium's video settings only let you set a maximum framerate in increments of 10 (140, 150, 160...), which makes it impossible to match your monitor's actual refresh rate if it isn't a multiple of ten — for example, a 144Hz or 165Hz display.
