Smooth Boot
by 1Influence
Smooth Boot changes how Minecraft spreads its startup work across CPU threads, a Fabric, Forge and NeoForge optimization mod.
What it does
The mod reconfigures the game's task executors, adjusting the thread count and priority they use for intensive startup tasks. Those tasks otherwise tend to push CPU use to its peak, and the adjusted parameters aim for a steadier workload during loading. It is an unofficial fork of an earlier project that adds support for newer game versions.
Builds cover 1.20 – 26.1 across Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Both client and server need the mod, and the code is released under the MIT License, but the project is not open source.
