Simply Dungeons adds randomly generated dungeon structures to Minecraft's overworld, aimed at players who want more to find while exploring.
What it does
Dungeons are placed in the overworld during world generation, so a player can come across them while travelling through a new world. They generate in caves and mainly spawn in plains, forests and deserts, so exploring different biomes is more likely to turn one up.
Some dungeons hold mobs, and larger dungeons carry more mobs of greater strength, which gives exploration a clear sense of risk and reward. The author describes the mod as an early release still under development, and some chests in the dungeons were reported to contain common loot due to a bug that the author plans to fix in future versions.
Simply Dungeons is published for Forge only, with a single game version, 1.20.1, and its latest file is 1.1 for 1.20.1, dated 2025-05-17. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Dungeons can be paired with other mods that add structure generation.
