Shroome's Buildtacular

by theshroome

Shroome's Buildtacular adds building block sets for Forge and NeoForge, each set built around a distinct theme, and it runs on client and server.

What it does

Each block set in Shroome's Buildtacular follows its own theme rather than a shared palette. One set uses soft brown tiles and bricks with glowing hardlight, meant to suggest a precursor civilization in the style of Starbound. One block set uses dark metal panels and plates trimmed with glowing green accents, a look that fits outposts on far-off worlds. A third covers the greys of industrial and concrete builds, leaning toward modern rather than science fiction.

The mod is aimed at builders who want themed blocksets they can place together. Its scrap metal blocks draw on a canceled savanna-themed mod, mixing rusty iron with soft orange tones. Because both sides run the content, a server needs the mod installed and so does every player who joins it. The files cover Forge and NeoForge across game versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.5, with the newest Forge build at 1.2.2 for 1.20.1 and the newest NeoForge build at 1.2.3.1 for 1.21.1. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Themed block sets

Each set groups blocks around one look, such as precursor brick, outpost metal or modern concrete.

  2. Glowing accents

Hardlight and green-accented metal blocks add light-emitting details to otherwise plain surfaces.

  3. Scrap metal blocks

Rusty and orange-toned metal blocks give factory and ruin builds a worn industrial finish.

  4. Modern grey palette

A set of grey and concrete blocks supports contemporary architecture instead of sci-fi styling.
