Server Pause
by byteManiak
Server Pause stops world ticking on a Fabric server after a set number of seconds without players.
What it does
Server Pause brings a newer vanilla feature to Fabric servers for versions 1.17 – 1.21.1. After the configured number of seconds with no players present, the server stops ticking the world. The option mirrors the pause-when-empty-seconds setting that vanilla reads from server.properties. The mod runs only on the server, so players join without installing anything. It is released under the GNU General Public License v2.0 only and is open source.
Key features
Pause when empty
The world stops ticking once the server has been empty for the configured amount of time.
Vanilla-style setting
The delay is set with the same pause-when-empty-seconds key that the vanilla server reads.
Lower CPU use
Stopping world ticks on an idle server reduces CPU load while nobody is online.
