Seasons [BTW Addon]

Seasons is a Legacy Fabric addon for the 1.6.4 game version that cycles the world through four seasons over twelve months. The season applies globally, so every biome in a world moves through the same calendar. Each biome keeps its identity, and everything a season changes still relies on that biome's vanilla values. Some seasons affect certain biomes more than others, and climate distributions vary through the year, so a desert can get too hot and a taiga can turn too cold in spring.

Foliage changes color month by month, so forests and plains look different across the year. The mod also adds a more in-depth crop system in which some crops favor warmer conditions and others prefer a more humid atmosphere, which rewards players who pick different biomes for different yields. Rain becomes more likely in some seasons, and water can freeze and begin to form snow as winter arrives. Better Than Wolves: CE is required, and ice fishing needs the frozen water that the seasons create.

The mod runs on the client and on the server, so the server and every player need it. Builds exist only for 1.6.4. The code is covered by the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, so it is not open source. Public source code and an issue tracker are linked by the author.
