Recipes Galore
by andw20
Recipes Galore adds crafting recipes that vanilla Minecraft leaves out, such as elytra, budding amethyst and reinforced deepslate, and is published for Fabric and Quilt.
What it does
Recipes Galore restores and adds crafting recipes that the base game does not offer, aiming to smooth out some of the progression gaps players notice. Among the added recipes are glowberries and glowstone dust, shroomlight, bulk craftables for several raw and storage blocks, and faster crafting routes. Raw blocks can be smelted in the same time as a single raw ore, and smelting a raw ore yields the same experience as smelting the ore itself. Chainmail armour, horse armour and bundles get setups that match the rest of the recipe set. The mod is focused on Minecraft 1.20.x, and the author has said that older versions may receive updates later.
The server must run the mod, while players may add it on their own side, so a client without it can still join. It is published for Fabric and Quilt, with files covering 1.14 – 1.20.4 and the latest build 2.3+mod for 1.20.4 dated 2023-12-09. Snapshot builds are published. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source. It is also offered as a data pack for server platforms. Recipes Galore was first published on 2023-04-11 and was rebranded from an earlier name, and it stays limited to recipe additions rather than new items or mechanics.
Key features
Craftable elytra
Elytra can be crafted, so players do not need to find them in end cities to obtain a pair.
Craftable budding amethyst and reinforced deepslate
Budding amethyst and reinforced deepslate are added as crafting results, which changes how those blocks are obtained.
Bulk and faster crafting
Several bulk recipes and quicker crafting routes reduce the number of steps needed for common materials.
Eggs and creature items
Dragon, sniffer and turtle eggs can be crafted, and the set also covers glowberries, glowstone dust and shroomlight.

How it compares
Craftable Elytra is a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt covering 1.13 – 26.2, released under the MIT License and not open source; it works on either side, and neither needs it, and it covers elytra alone where Recipes Galore adds a wider set. Craftable Name Tags is for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt covering 1.14 – 1.20.6, released under CC0 1.0 Universal and not open source; it is needed on the server, with the client optional, and it makes name tags craftable instead of found.

What the author says
The purpose of this datapack is to restore or add recpes to the game and making Minecraft have a bit more of quality of life. So far there are over 29+ recipes (unless you consider the woodcutter and others that I have merged than it's way over 100+) Horse Armour (gold and iron have the same setup)
