Poison Kills
by nolifeking
Poison Kills makes poison lethal: a poisoned mob that drops low enough on health keeps losing it and can die before it is cured.
What it does
Poison Kills changes how poison behaves so that an entity affected by it may not recover. Once health falls low enough, the poison continues to drain it until it dies, and only a cure applied in time stops this. The mod's own effect is what ends the fight, not the attacker's damage alone.
Because the mod is server required, the server must run it for the poison rules to apply in the world. Clients may leave it out and still join. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and it also ships as a data pack for server platforms, with files for 1.20 and 1.20.1.
Key features
Lethal poison
A poisoned entity that falls below a set health level keeps losing health and can die if it is not cured.
Cure window
Milk and other cures remove the effect only when applied before the poison finishes the entity off.
Mob-wide effect
The poison rule applies to mobs and other entities, so creatures that get poisoned face the same risk as players.
