PlayerDataSync
PlayerDataSync keeps one shared player profile across a network of servers, so inventories, Ender Chests, experience and other player data follow a player as they switch between servers.
What it does
Each server reads and writes a single shared database, and Redis notifies the other servers as soon as a profile is saved, so a server reloads the updated profile without waiting for the player to rejoin. Subscribers reconnect automatically when a Redis connection drops. The mod covers inventories, Ender Chests, experience, health, effects, attributes and economy data.
On a Velocity network a proxy handshake holds the switch until the old server confirms its save, and the new server does not read the database before that write has landed. Loads are queued per player and applied newest first, so the most recent record is always applied last. A stale local player file is never allowed to overwrite the database, and a save on quit waits until the stored profile has been applied. Players on a Paper or Spigot network with plugins disabled still get their data saved before shutdown.
A failed database write is recorded and then tried again at the next save, rather than being marked as unchanged without notice. With encryption enabled, a save fails if encryption fails, so plaintext never reaches the database by accident. The mod is published for Fabric and Forge across 74 release versions, 1.8 – 26.2, and is licensed as All rights reserved.
Key features
Proxy-coordinated server switches
Velocity bridge switches wait until the old server confirms its save before the new server reads the database.
Ordered profile loads
Queued loads are applied per player with the newest record always applied last, which avoids premature or redundant re-applies.
Save on quit and shutdown
Saves on quit are held back until the stored profile is applied, and pending writes finish before a server shuts down.
Encrypted profile storage
Encryption can be enabled for stored profiles, and a failed encryption step fails the save instead of writing plaintext.
